An independent knowledge base, published in the open.
BFCS.ai exists to answer one question honestly, industry by industry: where does AI genuinely make work better, faster, cheaper — and safer? The first three are increasingly automatic. The fourth is earned. This page explains who publishes the site, how we work, and where we admit we are unsure.
Who publishes BFCS.ai
BFCS.ai is published by Inhouse CX, a product and systems practice based in Perth, Australia, working across Australia, APAC, and globally. Inhouse CX shapes product direction, builds the platforms underneath, and co-develops the ventures that emerge — and is a Microsoft Solutions Partner in Data & AI and Digital & App Innovation on Azure.
We built this knowledge base because we kept having the same conversation with leaders: the case for AI is drowning in hype, and the hardest part — making it safe to rely on — is the part everyone skips. BFCS.ai is our attempt to argue that case in public, on the evidence, without selling anything on the page.
Where a reader moves from why to how, that governance work is exactly what our flagship product, Square One, is built for — the operating system for governed work, which gives AI, evidence, automation and organisational knowledge one permission-aware, auditable place to live on Microsoft 365. We name it plainly rather than dressing editorial as advertising.
Editorial principles
Every claim of value points to something we can name — a trial, a dataset, a regulator, an enforcement outcome. Where the only source is a vendor, we say so.
Each verdict carries a plain confidence level. "High confidence" and "governance-gated" mean different things, and we distinguish them rather than blur them.
When the evidence is thin, contested, or early, we say that in the piece. A confident-sounding article about an uncertain question would be a failure of the method.
Better, faster and cheaper increasingly come for free. Safer does not. We treat governance as the precondition for the other three, not an optional extra.
We read the international evidence — US, Europe, Asia — but write from Australia, and use Australian cases (like Robodebt) where they teach the clearest lesson.
The page never sells. We disclose who funds us and point to our product only where a reader has moved from understanding the problem to operating a solution.
Independence & disclosure
We disclose our commercial interest rather than hide it: BFCS.ai is funded and published by Inhouse CX, and Square One is our product. We do not accept payment from AI vendors for coverage, and no vendor reviews our verdicts before publication. Where we cite a vendor’s own figures, we label them as vendor claims and treat them as directional, not independent evidence.
